Anybody use the Nearpod app for the ipad? If you any experience, pros/cons, I would appreiciate it. Many of the downloads are free, but many also cost $2.99. I saw the Monarch Butterfly demonstrated and it looked pretty good.

I use it with my class a couple of times a unit in science and social studies. I make my own. I haven't bought any downloads. I love the interactiveness and control. Students love it.

I was in a class where the creator of appedreview.org was doing an "app-tizer" using Nearpod in conjunction with Polls Everywhere. He created the presentation for nearpod and had the audience use their cellphones to text their response to the slides he was sharing. Now this wouldn't be applicable where you are, but I found it to be quite cool and a great use of engagement bc the audience was able to use multiple sources of technology at once.
