Bargain/Sale Shopping

I've always been a bargain shopper/sale shopper. I rarely if ever pay full price for anything, other than food (and even then I hit the sales/use my rewards apps for good deals).

I'm looking at King sized comforter sets and find myself passing by the full priced ones and focussing only on those that are on sale/discounted. It takes a lot for me to pay full price for most items.

I definitely make sure I like what I buy, but typically can find something I like on sale just as much as full priced items.

Curious about others.

I do not remember the last time I bought clothing that was not on sale.

I visit thrift stores too. I know fabrics and labels and choose carefully. I find great deals at a couple of thrift stores near me.

I love sales and thrift stores. I just recently bought a white fringed jacket from Belk for $53.00. It was originally $119.00, was on sale last week for $87.00, got it on line last night for $53.00 with free shipping.

I love sales/bargains and more often than not avoid full price but Iíve reached the stage in my life that if I really like something and I can afford it I donít pass it up.

My first career was in retail operations. I was in charge of operations for a chain of 30 womens clothing stores, and before that was a retail buyer. I pay full price for nothing!! Except groceries and then I still shop sales.

Same as PoohBear. I use coupons and shop sales, and I love my thrift store finds (although I never buy clothing there), but if I want something, I buy it even at full price. I also am proud to be a staunch advocate for shopping locally, so I will spend more to buy an item at a local shop rather than order it from Amazon for a lot less. For things I want that arenít available locally, I order through smaller online stores.

I almost always buy on sale! Food would be an exception. Iíll buy basic foods not on sale if I have to, but treats are only bought on sale!

I used to be so good at couponing, but it became a chore I didnít make time for when the kids were grown & gone. Not sure why???

I love a good sale, but for certain things I don't mind paying full price. Like a comforter I would look at brand, style, and reviews before I look at the price. If the one I really liked was the most expensive, so be it.

I didn't grow up that way- my mother more had the attitude that if something was on sale, there must be something wrong with it. So it honestly just doesn't tend to be my mindset.

If I happen to find something on sale, great, but I would pay full price for what I wanted. Especially something like a comforter that I'm going to look at every day, what's on sale wouldn't enter into my decision. If the one I liked best was on sale, that would be a happy surprise, but I wouldn't pick it just for that reason.

A public speaking project I do at the beginning of the year is My Talent. Kids create a poster and tell the class about one of their talents--when they started, how they got good at it, what it looks like when they DO it.....I share my talent with them as an example: couponing. (really it's thrifting and finding good deals...)

I'm definitely a bargain and sale shopper. Sometimes it's like a challenge. But there are some things I will pay full price for, especially if I know it's something that rarely, if ever, goes on sale.
