Haircut and color prices?

I'm curious to see what everyone pays for a cut and color. I know it can vary a lot depending on location and salon, but I'm curious.

My cut and color seemed a bit high at $150 (not including tip).

Mine is really low. I pay $65 for cut and color. $85 if it includes highlights. I don't think anyone else in the area is that low. It's an individual who operates her own salon. No other employees.

I think it was $85 for cut, color, and highlight (not including tip). She has her own salon in a part of her house.

I just got my hair done last Sunday. I got a color touch up, partial highlights, glaze, cut, and blowout. $255 plus tip. It’s a lot because I get charged more for my extra thick hair. It’s like that everywhere. I’ve tried multiple salons and I always have to pay more because they have to use more dye.

That makes me feel better. Mine is $93 and always wondered how reasonable it is. Good to know it's right in line.

I pay 150 also. I thought it was high but I guess it's pretty typical.

Stylists

I pay $18 for a cut and $50 for color. My stylist also owns her own shop and works by herself.

We are quite rural, and salon salesmen no longer stop in our town. The shipping of products has really impacted the salons in our small rural community. Whenever I go to The Big City, I let my stylist know. She phones her order into the supply store (one of those that sells only to licensed beauticians), pays w her business credit card, and I pick it up. Just a way to pay it forward.

I go to a nice salon. Now that I retired I thought I should save money, so I looked at other salons in the area that advertise really inexpensive haircuts. After I looked online at their pricing list, color, cut, blow dry costs almost exactly the same as the salon I have been going to.
$100-$115 depending if I have highlights as well as color.

I get highlights, root touch up and a haircut. I pay from $175-195. If I need more color itís on the higher end. I have long thick hair and my stylist sometimes does not make enough color.

I've only had my hair cut and colored professionally as an adult once, about 18 months ago. However, I did a LOT of looking around in my area before I made my decision about where to go. It was $130 (not including tip). That was by far the least expensive for a "real" salon in my area. Most places I looked were $150-250. I think I got a deal in the hopes I'd go back. She did a good job, but it's not something I usually spend money on. I cut and color my own hair.

I go to my hairdresser every 6-8 weeks for a cut and touch up color. I pay $65 plus tip. When I get highlights I pay an extra $15-20.

Around $125 + taxes (13%) and tip (usually $20) so about $161.25.
Yikes!
It may be time to start embracing my grey hair.

BTW, I live in a small city in Southeastern Ontario.

65 for cut and color. Highlights take the price to 95. I get my hair every three weeks. Every third time I get highlights. Other places in my area are more expensive. Before I found hairdresser, I was paying over 200 every three weeks for a cut and color. Iím lucky to have my hairdresser!

tip, which brings it to $60. Today I got highlights, so it was $68, bringing it to $82 total with tip.

I have lived places where it costs $150 for the same services (L.A.). But this young lady does an equally good job. What I pay now seems really reasonable!

That's about what I pay, but it's a multi-hour process when I do it. It's relatively inexpensive for the area.

Mine is $85 before tip. It's a cut and highlighting - I don't do an all over color.

I get it done every 7 weeks due to a lot of gray, so I'm glad it's not more!
