Do you still carry a purse when you are out and about? I have switched to a small cross body one so I donít have to set my purse in carts or on counters. Iím surprised that I donít miss lugging a large purse and all itís contents 👜

I'm almost never out and about in a way that requires me to carry anything like a purse I do have a purse, but I haven't used it in a really long time. Usually when I leave the house, I have a backpack because I'm going to work and I need a lot of stuff, including my computer.

I have switched to a small wallet on a string for lack of a better description. It holds my phone and credit card and a small bottle of hand sanitizer and that is it. I miss my pocketbooks.

Good point! I have numerous purses I switch out and am currently using a crossbody, but it seems about 1/2 the time, I may just bring my wallet in and keep it in my pocket. The times I bring in the purse, I've put it in the cart, but it's best, as you say, to not have anything touching public surfaces.

Speaking of this, it seems that grocery stores are a tad less dilligent tehse days about wiping carts down for us. Sometimes I can't tell if they did it or not, but I've brought in my own pocket-sized wipes & wiped it down myself.

No purse in months.
I have a pocket wallet attached to my phone case. It holds my license, credit card and debit card.
I have a flip belt with a zipper. I used to just use it for exercising but now I wear it all the time. My phone fits in the zipper pocket. Itís an iPhone 11 so it is bigger. My mask and sanitizer. Fit in the other pockets. Itís very comfortable to wear and easy to get at things I need.

I have not gone anywhere so I have had no need for a purse.
When I help with summer camp I leave my purse in the car.

For probably 10 years now I have just carried a small wristlet or crossbody. All I have in is my cards/license, keys, phone, and chapstick. I've never needed anything else and have never understood the desire to carry around a giant heavy bag!

But what about if you get a headache, or need a wet wipe, or you have a hangnail, or you need a bandaid??? Or, or?

I wish I could think like you do! Even when I start off with good intentions, I find myself adding stuff so I'm always prepared. Just another one of my neuroses!

On my rare adventures to the grocery store, I put what I need in my pocket, including hand sanitizer.

Purse

My purse stays in my car, and the only thing I take in is my credit card and my mask. I use the store's hand sanitizer as I'm walking out the door, and when I get in my car, I use my hand sanitizer to clean my hands and my credit card and then take off my mask.

I haven't taken a purse inside any store since March 13th.

I have a couple of these Vera Bradley Cross Body wallets.

It holds my phone, credit cards, etc. and I can attach a tiny hand sanitizer to the strap.

I still use my purse like I always have. If Iím shopping it still goes in the cart.

Honestly, with everything Iíve read regarding Covid spreading on surfaces, or should I say not spreading through surfaces, Iím not super concerned.

When it was still cold enough to wear a coat, I left my purse in the car and just carried my credit card, phone and keys in my jacket pocket.

These days, I carry a small cross-body purse. I had been using it pre-covid anyway for the rare excursions without a diaper bag. It holds my wallet and phone and my keys can clip on the outside. I keep hand sanitizer and a mask in the caddy on my stroller for picking up mail, library books, etc.

I would normally take my water bottle into places where I would be for a while like the grocery store, but not these days.

No real change for me. I wear a small crossbody purse on the regular and have for years.

BUT, I have a "car" purse in my personal vehicle. It holds the tylenol, hair brush, extra bandaids, mini manicure set, mini sewing kit, and those sorts of things. I don't transfer it to DH's vehicle unless it as an overnight trip.

I still use my normal purse, set it in shopping carts and on checkout counters. It hasn't been a problem. I use sanitizer and wash my hands a lot.

Like lilbitkm, nothing changed. I carry my purse with me. I wear it like a crossover not because of covid, but because there is less chance of losing it that way. Iím not too concerned about surfaces. Maybe I should be, but Iím not. I keep an extra mask in my purse at all times plus some wipes.

I love that idea! I may switch to that! Of course, I will have to put my "car" purse in my teaching bag, I think. And then remember to take it out when I get back in the car.....and this thinking is what will lead me to having another huge purse!
