I did it!! Took last period as my lunch hour and left to get the vaccine. It was very smoothe. Lots of people to direct us where to go. After we sat in a room for 15 min for observation. Very smoothe. Second one will be 2/9. BTW... it did not hurt and I still feel fine, arm doesn't even hurt.

Good for you! I was able to register of the vaccine today and should be able to get it in two weeks according to the Health Department.

I bet you're grateful to have one part of the vaccine!

In Texas they’re vaccinating 65+ and adults with chronic health conditions. I fall in the second category. In my area hospitals and the health dept make appointments available online, and you can register if/when they have appts.

Good for you! I can't wait to get mine but there's nothing in sight on that front for me yet.

I keep hearing about how so many people don't want the vaccine and I feel like that kid in class with her hand raised shouting "Me! Me! Pick ME!"

That is good. My district supposedly will be set up to have employees go to a neighboring district high school to get ours. Maybe at the end of the month.

I signed up to be put on the list for our county on Sunday. There are over 200,000 people ahead of me.
Maybe they will get to me by my birthday in February.

We are in Houston. Both of my parents are in their 70s. They are in the group 1b because they do not have underlying health conditions. They can’t find a vaccine anywhere.

I got mine 12/24, I get the second Friday. Sore arm and tired 24 hrs later. Scared for the 2nd.

Not sure who is eligible, but you can get vaccinated at Disneyland.

DS got the 2nd shot Monday and I asked about side effects. Headache and fatigue for a day. He had taken ibuprophen beforehand, because he typically has headaches. Overall not too bad.

I had to sign up through our county. I'm in the 1b category which are teachers, law enforcement and anyone over 75 years old.

Both sons (teacher and LEO) will be getting their shot sometime this week or next.
