The moving van comes Friday. She is giving up a beautiful rent controlled apartment that she will never be able to afford again. I feel so bad for her. She tried for seven months to find a job that would allow her to stay without any luck. She worked so hard for the past 10 years and her career has ceased to exist because of covid. I try to remain positive for her but it’s hard.
I’m sad for your daughter and for you, sonoma. I feel like my children’s victories are theirs, but I take on their struggles. I wish you both good luck.
I am glad you are able to provide a loving landing place for her as she goes through this difficult time.I hope that as the vaccine becomes more available and Covid becomes part of our pasts, the job opportunities lost will revive, if even in a different form. i wish her the best on whatever path her life takes her on now.
So sorry Sonoma. It is extremely trying to see our children go through difficulties and as the months pass it has been bleak, especially for the younger generations who may not have had many trials in their lives. ((Sonoma and her daughter)) sending prayers of comfort and peace.
This is such a bitter pill for your sweet daughter to swallow. Perhaps knowing that this is not her fault eases the pain a little. So many are hurting. I'm hoping that this virus is conquered by the vaccine and folks like your daughter can go back to work. Hugs to both you and your daughter.
I’m so sorry that she is going through this struggle. She is extremely lucky to have you. Hopefully, the vaccines will get us back to normal lives soon and her talents will open doors to a new job.
So sad and very difficult for you and her. You have raised a strong young lady with deep work ethic and she will land on her feet again. She is blessed to have you there to help her with a a place to land during this tough time.
It is hard to see our kids go through tough times. She is so lucky to have a mom like you where she can come home to get back on her feet.
It is possible that good could come from this. You and your daughter could really use the time to strengthen and renew your relationship as adults.
Our family was spread across the world and all came back to the same place to help out at 1x.
It was awesome to know my mom so much better as an adult. There are good memories to share and memories to make. I hope you'll both end up benefitting from the hard situation.
Sonoma, you are such a blessing to her. All who struggle do not have loving family to help in times of need. At some point his pandemic will pass. I am hopeful that the new administration will bring economic growth and job opportunities. In the meantime, it is so good that you are able to be there for your daughter.
