.So, covid is rampant here in TX especially in the DFW area. Good old Gov. Abbot is determined we will go down with the ship no matter what though. F to f school etc.

My ds realized yesterday afternoon he can't smell or taste, so he has to get tested today and we were with him so now we are quarantined until AT LEAST Thursday. That's if he's negative. If he's positive it's longer. We now have only 1 out of 4 5th grade teachers left that aren't quarantined because they have a sick child with covid or have covid. This is insane.

Quarantined teachers is definitely a problem. Do you teach from home or have a sub?

We have to put in sub days. But there are no subs right now. At all. So they're consolidating classes and covering with any bodies available.

I know, its crazy here too. We have so many out at the center where I teach PK that we can hardly keep going.
