Ghost apples

These are known as "Ghost Apples" They are created when freezing rain coats rotting apples, and when the mushy rotten apple falls out, it leaves a shell of ice. New to me—and I think they’re gorgeous. Have you ever seen them?

I grew up on a farm with apple orchards so yep, I’ve seen them.
But they’re pretty neat and really beautiful.

Wow!!! Those are beautiful! Sometimes, just sometimes, I miss having such drastic changes in season.

Oooh, new to me and beautiful! I still have six or so apples hanging off my tree; I’d love to have that happen with them.

Wow! They are gorgeous!
When I saw your title I thought it was going to be a case of you buying apples and not knowing what happened to them.

They are beautiful! I’m tempted to ask my neighbour to leave s few apples on her tree next fall just so this could happen.

That is really neat! I love ice storms for the pretty pictures, but I'd rather skip the power outages and impromptu trips into the ditch.
