I teach at a small catholic school. We are in the process of transitioning into common core. We already have a math series that has common core built in. We are trying to find a grammar/writing series that is common core based. What are other schools doing? Are you just developing your own or finding textbooks that have common core built in? HELP!!!!!!!

Lucy Calkins Units of Study for writing are CCSS aligned. Also Tony Snead and Linda Hoydt have CCSS aligned nonfiction writing units. I think it is called Explorations in Nonfiction Writing. Our district uses both and I prefer the Snead over Calkins.

We use the CC edition of Reading Street and it covers the language and writing standards well. You should check out the new Carson Dellosa Common Core books, I bought a couple of the language arts ones and love them. Their new CC Math is good too. Here is the link to one of the ones I bought and like.
