I was looking at all of the money Bill Gates has spent in various school districts. Whew! That's a lot of money. What does all of his money buy for him in that county?

Teaching in Hillsborough county... I can say...he pretty much does! A chunk of that money went to our evaluation/accountability program...we are using the Charlotte Danielson model...she is not happy how we literally took her book word for word and implemented it..she said that it was NEVER intended to be used that way...Gates just wants us to produce numbers and what a crazy...never to be understood...mystery formula they are using...but it gives numbers (whatever that means) to show that we are being accountable for every child's sneeze and cough

Of Gates, the new evaluations, ubd and other nonsense. Here's a novel idea...let's just let teachers teach and forget about all the endless , worthless paper work. More after school hours and haven't seen a raise in over 20 plus years. Now the insurance nightmare. There is no draw to going into the teaching profession anymore. So sad how we have allowed people in power to ruin our schools.

Are they changing your insurance negatively on top of everything else?

It's horrible! I really do not know how we are going to make it. It's like doubled. Big fight in legislature right now but let's face it, no one really gives a hoot for what teachers have to pay .
