Do any of you run in the dark with a headlamp? I went out early this week while it was still very dark and tripped and fell. I want to keep running outside in the early mornings. If you use a headlamp what kind and do you like it.

a coleman headlamp...just something inexpensive from Wal-Mart. I've heard of others that use knuckle lights.

I want to be seen more than see. I usually run in the road but didn't feel viable enough. I tripped on uneven sidewalk.

My husband was in the Army and runs ultra-marathons. We have a wide variety of Petzl headlamps

I wear a vest that I got from Walmart that illuminates when car lights shine on it. I also use the flashlight on my phone to illuminate the ground so I don't fall.

If you use your phone flashlight...are you using an armband?? Or holding it? I had a headlamp but it keeps slipping down of my head...quite a sight! lol

When I use a head, amp, I put it on a baseball cap so it doesn't slide down. It also keeps me from getting blinded when drivers put on their high beams when they see me. For now I just run with a little flashlight. I also wear a reflective vest that has a blinking light attached to it (I think it's meant for a dog collar, but, whatever!)
