ARGH!!!! Bras..... >:(

A rant....

I just paid $100 for two stupid bras..

That....

were on sale!

I need this style and type. I could not wait until January when they MIGHT have a bigger price drop.

They weren't even the $$$$$ pricey pricey type. $45/per bra plus shipping and tax.

I'll baby them with hand washing and air drying. They'll last for a while, but man oh man...final cost is a kick in the head.

I'd love to be an A or B cup and be able to get away with a cheaper bra. I'm a C cup, and have no right to complain. At least I don't have to special order my bras like my friend who is an E.

I hate spending money on un fun things....lol..

I hate it too! I recently bought 6 because I found some on sale and have such a hard time finding DDD bras, so I had to get them when I could. I spent over $200!! It was awful and so un-fun. But now I don't have to wear the same one two days in a row.

I wear a DD (sometimes DDD, depending on brand). I used to get expensive bras at Lane Bryant, but this summer I discovered that the Haynes Brand outlet stores carry 2 brands that have my size! And I've gotten them for $20 on sale (they're maybe 30 not on sale, but outlets have sales so often!). I'll still buy bras from Lane Bryant, but I don't need to spend the money for everyday wear. See if you have a Haynes outlet nearby!!

(Plus the Bali underwear is so comfortable! )

I'm still a DD😂. No fun at all. I'd shrink em if I could. Yes I buy pricy ones too.

Im also a C cup and have bought several Natori underwire bras for about $75 each. Recently I discovered the comfort of sports bras. Aahhh! Not expensive at all and they do the job for C cups which really arent so big that they need special attention like D's or beyond. I wear these sports bras for casual dressing but not for upscale affairs. Works for me!

Yep, I hear ya! The bras I specifically like are $$40-45, depending on if there's any kind of sale. The recent bummer has been that I couldn't find any stores that carry the brand &/or size I need, so for the very 1st time in my life, I had to order bras via Amazon. Eeek.

I had to buy bras

All of mine bras broke....and they hurt so I had to buy some. Went to out local outlet mall where there is a Hanes store. The lady measured me so I needed a larger size . The one I liked was $42. I got 4 and paid $100. They had 40 percent off if you bought 3 or more. I was felling bummed until I read your post. I am NEVER going to put them in the dryer!

Macy's --Black Friday

For real. I've been buying mine on Black Friday from Macy's for the past few years and can buy 3 for the price of 1. At $50 each, it's the only time I buy them anymore. They are so expensive!

Try online

Try online! Once I found a bra I loved, but couldn't afford to buy multiple ones. Saved the tags, got online and found the same bra for half. I do the same for panties.

My go-to has been hosierystreet dot com, but I'm sure there are others out there.

With the nearest retail clothing store being 130 miles away, I live too far from the beaten path to wait for stores to have sales. Usually don't hear about them anyway!

It's so much more expensive being a woman than it would be to be a man.

bras

I hear you! I just bought three bras today and spent about $110. I've spent the past four years pregnant or nursing and I am finally weaned. I'd been promising myself once my boobs got to their new normal I'd splurge on nice, real bras and not wear the milk stained, ugly nursing bras anymore. It was worth it.

Bras

Agreed. It is crazy the price of a decent bra. At the same time, it's something I wear for 12 hours a day, every day, so I guess it equals out especially if I can find one that fits and is comfortable! But yes, they should be tax free.

On another kind of related note...don't you think feminine hygiene products should be tax free?!! Now there's a necessity! This has always bugged me. It's not like women are buying this stuff for fun.

I buy them when JC Penney has a buy one get one free sale. I will also use a coupon. If I bought them at a regular price, they are $40-$50 each. On sale I can get four for less that $100. My dh does not get it when I hand wash them and don't put them in the dryer. He says they are only underwear. Yes, but expensive underwear.

I know how you feel. I'm a really weird size (30 C) and no brick and mortar store carries that bra size. I have to order online and it's so expensive, even for just one. I hate having to spend that much money.

Try being a HH. My husband calls this hubba hubba! I never get to have really pretty bras like smaller size ladies get. Just not fair

I buy mine at Dillards. Their clerks are professional bra fitters. Wearing the correct bra makes a huge difference in how your clothes look. It is worth it to me to have one that fits correctly and look great. I could never order online unless it was a bra I owned before. You can't go by size. Every style fits differently. I have to try them on.
