AWOL, pain, and surgery

So, I've been still dealing with the severe abdominal pain. Landed back in the hospital last weekend, and they finally agreed to do exploratory surgery. I'm in pre op now, will be taken back to the operating room soon. Honestly happy about this and hoping they find something and can address it!

May the doctors get some answers that are ones you can live with.

Hang in there!

Back in my room

After a very long time in recovery, I got back to my room about 8pm. Surgery went smoothly, but I gave them some trouble coming out of anesthesia (was fighting the breathing tube but at the same time wasn't awake enough to follow directions...) and was in a lot of pain in recovery, but got lots of meds on board and just a bit uncomfortable right now.

I know my attending came to speak with me in recovery, but I don't remember the conversation...so I don't even know what they found yet

with multiple doses of dilaudid, a dose of morphine, and 2 Percocet, I'm pretty sure I'll be passing out shortly!

I am glad the surgery is over, hope you are still comfortable and sleeping soundly! Please let us know tomorrow what the doctor said. Prayers abide!

Nancy
