I’d have to go with someone a whole lot techier and more patient than me.

I went on this in Disney World last month and it was awesome! You have to be up early to get in the queue, but we stayed at a Disney hotel so we had early access hours. Iím sure it will change in a few months.

I agree 100%. Although I'm a Star Wars fan, I don't feel the need to go on this ride. Reading how complicated it is, makes me feel sorry for the families who went all the way to Disneyland, only to be disappointed after spending all that money and not getting on the ride.

When I lived 20 minutes away from the park, my friends and I used to go at least twice a month, but it was a simpler time (way) back then. That was the era of the A-E tickets with short lines and fewer choices. We would go for a bit during the day, go home for dinner, then come back for the night time concerts with famous headliners. Do they even still have those concerts anymore?

I've never been a big Disney fan, but that kind of sucks for people who make this their one trip and come from far away- no guarantee you can go on the ride (even if you know how to do it). It's like calling a radio station to try to be the 10th caller or frantically trying to get tickets for something when the box office opens (or to register for classes when registration opens ). If you live nearby, you have several chances to get in on it if you go fairly often.

It's good to know how it works, though! Poor people who had no clue and were frustrated. I'm sure posting this is helpful for people who want to try that ride and didn't know about the boarding groups!

That sounds confusing, which is why I always used a Disney planner. The girl I use is fabulous. She does all the work and planning. I show up and have a good time.

I just got back from Disneyland. This ride is amazing. We loved it. We were able to get a boarding group every day we were there. Those boarding groups go fast! And it only allows you to get in line for the ride which can be an hour long wait. But it is all well worth it!
