Anyone close to you with Coronavirus?

I just got the call that there is a case at my dad's nursing home. His vitals are ok and they say that the person is being isolated completely. I just know that it has spread through nursing homes quickly in my area. Is there anyone else that is really close to the virus now?

BTW I haven't seen him since early March because of an order by his nursing home even before the stay at home order.

Yes. Not as close as you but I found out today that a good friend was diagnosed with it and is in the hospital ICu with it as of Saturday. I haven't seen her since March 5th when I went to her mom's visitation but I worry.

A former pastor, now living in another state
A nephew and his wife
A daughter of a church friend who worked in a NICU (seems to be a mild case and recovering, but worried about who might have been exposed)

None of them needed to be hospitalized, but still fevers, serious coughing, etc.

As I was walking a neighbor told me that someone that lives on the next street over has it. She said that the neighbor has a mild case and is staying inside. I also heard a teacher I used to teach with has it. She is athletic and about 40 or so years old. Her symptoms are very mild-low grade fever and cough.

I hope everyone takes care. Be safe!

So sorry it is in your dad's home! I haven't seen my parents in several weeks either for the same reason. They haven't even been allowed to see each other since one is in memory care and one in assisted living. Such a scary time.

I don't know anyone personally that has a CV diagnosis, but I know quite a few people who have been ill with similar symptoms but not sick enough to test.

I am sorry to hear about your dear dad possibly being exposed. I hope you get a chance to see him even if its at the window of his room.

No one close to me has it, but a friend who lives in a different state does. She was quite sick for a week or so but is doing better now.

Two people from my church have it now. Neither are in my close circle and they are not in each other's close circle. One is a man in his 60s whose wife is in a nursing home due to a terminal medical condition. Some of the old people in the nursing home have it and he probably picked it up there. He is recovering and didn't have to go to the hospital. A young lady (< 30 yr) at church has it and has developed pneumonia and is trying to avoid the hospital. She's not turned the corner yet.

The senior home (they have a memory unit and an assisted living unit) about 1/4 mile from my house has 12 cases among about 50 residents (and a few staff are showing symptoms - this was in the newspaper this AM) and have had two deaths. I don't know anyone there, though. But I walk and bike by that home a few times a week.

One of our teachers has it. Thankfully it seems to be a pretty mild case. My mom has been very concerned because she has several friends whose adult children (around my age) have gotten it- she says everyone she knows who has had it has been in their 20s/30s. I wonder if it's because those people were being less careful with all of the initial reports that it didn't really impact younger people.
