A scary but not scary day

A tornado touched down in farms fields just south of my house this afternoon. There was no damage(as far as we know).

What makes it super scary is that the weather was rainy, but not stormy. I wasn't even a bit concerned about tornadoes. I guess I never knew one could hit like that.

I'm so sorry. I'm glad that right now there is no damage and I hope it stays that way. I'm glad you and those you love are safe!

It has been pouring rain here all day, non-stop. This evening, since about 7 or so, the wind has been super strong. I looked to see if we had tornado watches or warnings, but we don't. I'm surprised though because it is super strong. I'm definitely monitoring the situation just in case though because it seems likely with how strong the wind is.

I didn't realize that either. We do have tornados where we live but they always seem to come with thunderstorms, or during hurricanes and tropical storms.

I've never seen one just come up like that either. I guess you just have to be prepared for anything anymore.
