I know we've discussed the blankets before, but I would like to know from those of you who have them, are they too hot in summer. Thanks.

Mine is way too hot for the summer, even though I crank the AC to 66 overnight. (You may not want to know what nighttime temperature is during the winter.) I miss the weight. I did buy a child size weighted blanket at WalMart, thinking that if I can start with it across my neck, shoulders, upper back (because that's where I carry my stress), that even if I only use it for a few minutes before tossing it off, I'd like it for the weight. Sometimes, even that is too hot for me.

I would love to know but my DH adopted mine and when I talked about buying another for myself, he commented that we have lots of blankets.

But I think I would definitely find it too warm. (The only reason I havenít bought one . I donít listen to much of what DH says) I have reached an age that Iím too warm the majority of the time.

DH keeps our house cool. Inside we wear sweats/long sleeves or snuggle under blankets year round. I always get pretty hot with mine. I stick my feet out the bottom and it's just right.

I find it's too warm in the summer and DH keeps the AC set to frigid.

I have a 20 pound and love it. Our thermostat is set to meat locker in the summer, but I donít find that mine adds extra heat at all.

I sometimes use it in the summer. I keep my bedroom at 61 degrees though. I cannot sleep if it is any warmer.

I have a 20lb blanket but it's wide, so I only sleep under half of it. It's not too hot at all. Our region does typically cool off at night, but the other day, it didn't go below 70 most of the night, and I was fine.

I just have the blanket and a sheet. It's part of why I like it... Don't need so many blankets in the summer to get that pressure multiple quilts provide in winter.

Definitely too hot in summer. I have one that I sometimes use in winter, but could never in summer. The weighting really retains heat.
