Glad I Had The Option To Resign

After being full-time for a long time, I school psyched part-time last year due to the the stress of the job. I caught a glimpse of what being a school psych would look like this year and it was not pretty (i.e., how to assess kids so the tests are valid, a barrage of requests for assessments, etc). It was really hard to resign because I like security, but I think it was the right decision for me.

I am almost through the first trimester of my first pregnancy and I found a part-time job in education that is less stressful than being a school psych (it pays less, but I don't need added stress right now).

I wish everyone had the option to resign or retire if they wanted to right now, so I am grateful for this opportunity.

Thank you for reading! I just wanted to get my thoughts out there.
