People with vacation homes and ski condos are enrolling their kids in the local school districts for the fall. For one small town the school population is going from 45 to 90. Quite an impact!!! Our state has a very low Covid rate.

I started to respond yesterday but got interrupted and apparently never finished. I saw that on our news. That's a big spike! Plus the superintendent made the comment that she wasn't sure if these families would even be staying for the whole school year. They might be scrambling for staff and a space :-(

My district won't announce for about two more weeks what we're actually doing. We start back August 24th.

Wow! That is going to create so many problems for that little district. Their school enrollment doubled but their funding won't. What a tough situation.

Why wouldn't it? Funding is based on enrollment?
