Appetizers help

Four of us are giving a small grandmother shower for a fifth friend. It will be held a a friend’s house where we can socially distance ourselves.

I volunteered to make appetizers and I want to do things that are “Covid safe.” So, no sharing of dips, no large platter of veggies, etc.

I know I could do chips and salsa- bag up the chips & put salsa in plastic cups so everyone has their own. I thought I could make veggie skewers and put dip in individual cups. I’ve already decided to do all the prep with gloved hands out of an abundance of caution.

What are some other things could I do? I’d like to do something different, if possible. This heat has clogged my brain. TIA

Fruit?

Is there a way you could put some sort of fruit together? If you already have the vegetables on skewers, you don't want to repeat with fruit kabobs. Small mixed fruit cups with summer fruits? My brain isn't working too well either!

The bridal shower I attended on Saturday had cupcakes, fruit cups, and veggie pizza. Each person who was serving wore gloves. We were not allowed to get our own food the server put whatever we wanted on our plate. The veggie pizza was awesome.

I am helping host a shower next month and we are going to do something very similar.

These were tasty and could be plated on small paper plates with dip ahead of time.

What about stuffing celery, cucumber, small tomatoes... with cream cheese, pimento cheese, chicken salad, tuna salad....... You could serve with tongs.

Homemade Chex mix served in individual containers.

pinwheel sandwiches

sausage cheese balls served on toothpicks

Water chestnuts

Wrapped in bacon. The sauce is brown sugar and ketchup. I put toothpicks in them to make them easy to eat. Google bacon wrapped water chestnuts for recipes.

Hidden Valley Ranch Stars are really good:

Fruit salad could be served in individual cups. This is a recipe I use:

Meatballs can be cooked in either marinara sauce or BBQ sauce or the grape jelly version and served on a toothpick. You could also use pretzel sticks as a skewer.

Caprese kabobs; cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, basil leaves on a skewer then drizzled with a balsamic glaze.

We had a small socially distanced bridal shower last weekend. All of the food was touchless for serving. We had
wrapped chicken salad croissants
Fruit salad in cups
Broccoli salad in mini Chinese takeout boxes
Raw veggies & dip in cups
Mediterranean pasta salad skewers
Individual cakes

Maybe something here will spark an idea.
