You could blink like Jeannie or twitch your nose like Samantha and your house would be clean?

No? Just me. Hmm... I really am that lazy.

Oh, I'm even lazier. I used to love Sabrina the Teenage Witch when it was on/when I was younger. In the intro song, she's standing in front of a mirror and pointing to change her outfit. I always wished I could get ready like that. I'm over here looking for a way to get out of getting dressed in the morning .

Yes, please!

I’ve pretty much given up because if I’m cleaning in one part of the house, DS is somewhere else uncleaning something. If DH takes him to his classroom so I can get a break, I just want to SIT and drink my
coffee...not clean.

Soon, he and Swift will be able to double team me.

You’ll find me sitting on the couch watching dog confessions on TikTok and giggling.

You are not alone. I would love to blink/twitch and clean, laundry done and put away.

Years ago, Joan Rivers was on some late night talk show and commented on housecleaning - Itís never finished. You do it once, and six monthís later you have to do it again.

I've thought that many times.

And as much as I clean, someone else can dirty it us just a little faster. And I don't have kids at home anymore.

I have thought the same thing! I always thought of Samantha on Bewitched. If it were only that easy...

Yes! I'm the worst housekeeper. And my H has lots of clutter. Someone is ALWAYS home (pre-COVID we worked opposite schedules) so it's not like we clean up then all leave and come home to a clean house.

Honestly, during this quarantine time I've gotten so discouraged I've pretty much given up.

My teenager's daily job is to wash the dishes so that gets done. And we all do our own laundry.

My H and the boys went out of town for 3 weeks last summer. It was glorious to have the house to myself and I cleaned and put everything away. (I also went to Disney World for a week. Shhhhh! Don't tell them!)

When they came home (bleary-eyed after an overnight flight) the boys couldn't believe how the house looked. My youngest was 4 at the time and said "everything is so....CLEAR."

So that's what I want. A clear house.

But apparently I don't want to put any effort into it.

When I was little, my mom said I broke many dishes twitching my nose like Samantha on Bewitched. I was hoping that the dishes would just fly across the room and go to the cupboards. I still wish I had that power!
