Need help finding a recipe

Many, many years ago I received brownies in a jar. It was my favorite recipe but I lost it. The recipe called for melted butter and had no chocolate chips or anything extra or fancy in it. Does anyone have a similar recipe?

Maybe this is close

Deep Dish Brownies
FILLS ONE PINT GLASS JAR
This recipe makes brownies that taste like store-bought prepared mixes only richer! It gets an A+ all around for taste and ease of cooking.
3/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup cocoa
1 cup sugar
Mix together flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl. Layer in pint jar: flour mixture, cocoa, sugar. Pack well after each layer. Seal jar.
Attach the following recipe to the jar: Deep Dish Brownies
3/4 cup butter, melted
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup sugar
3 eggs

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Blend melted butter, vanilla and sugar in a mixing bowl. Add the eggs, beat well with a spoon. Gradually add contents of jar to egg mixture and stir until blended well. Spread in greased 8" square pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 40 minutes. Cool and cut into squares.

I hope you like them. It came from the book:
