I ran to school earlier and set up my desk barrier. Seems so weird.

It does look weird. On the other hand it will keep the kids out of your space. I had a huge problem with kids going behind my desk and taking things last year.

A colleague of mine built one of those. Last week the custodian and maintenance guy came in and snapped photos. I bet she’ll have to take hers down because it won’t pass the fire inspection.

Usually I put a duct tape line around my desk. Didn’t bother with that this year. I opted for this since I’ll be closer than 6’ to kids walking by, and my desk is facing them.

It’s just so sad that teachers have to add extra safety features on their own
to feel comfortable doing their job.

It’s super simple. Three of these garment racks. Two clear shower curtains. Zip ties.
