The Day the Tools Quit

Ugh...I feel so bad for DH today. It's hot (mid 90s). He decided to start on the baseboards for my office this afternoon. His saw (portable) tipped on him as he was pulling it out. It's not working quite right now, but he was able to cut the baseboards to size. Now he's fighting with his nail gun. We made it almost 3/4 of the way around the room and it stopped working. It's $160 to replace. He's currently taking it apart to see if he can get it working again. There's a replacement piece he can try for $15 but he's not sure if that will fix the problem.

Meanwhile, there's nothing I can do to help and the dog wants to snuggle, so I'm cuddling on the couch feeling guilty that he's having such a bad day because I wanted to paint my office.

Sorry for your DH wows. My DH used to sell nail guns, and the most common fix was replacing an "O ring", whatever that is.

He got it working again, for now anyway. It was the o rings that needed to be replaced. The baseboards are done except for a little paint touch up.

Tomorrow I can start putting the room back together!
