Tree down due to storm

The 50 foot tree in front of my house fell during the storm. It landed on dh truck, took down the power pole and is blocking the street. It could have been much worse if it went the other way into the house and we are ok. Power is out. I guess we will be dealing with insurance the next few days.

Oh, how scary! I am so glad that it didn't hit your house. That's always my big fear in these storms! I hope you can get your power restored soon and insurance straightened out.

My town has multiple huge oak trees that fell. Scary stuff. My block is one of the few in town still with power.

Iím glad youíre safe. The last storm we had a few weeks ago the neighborís tree went into the roof of the house across our street. They wound up getting a new roof!

Weíre currently without power (for the past 4.5 hours) and still dealing with very high gusts of wind.

Wishing you the best during this! We had a tornado last year that took one of our trees and left us without power for nearly 24 hours. The power outage is only the second one we had in 20 years, but we promptly bought a gas powered generator after that. I am ok if we never have to use it! I hope your power is restored or that you have a back up generator.

Many in my town lost power, bit I don't know if we did at my house since we're at DD's 12 hours away.

It's really frightening to see how much damage a fallen tree can cause. Hopefully, you can find a tree service to remove your tree.

Will your homeowner's insurance cover any of the costs of tree removal?

I am so sorry, but thankful that all of you are OK! I hope you were able to navigate through the insurance process and that your power is back up!
