Still NO Power

It’s been out since 11am today. I live in NJ on the coast. As of now I’m hearing it could be days until our power is restored.

I guess this will be our summer “camping”

Stay safe everyone!

That’s terrible. I hope it will be restored soon. Any chance of a getting a generator?

I’m so sorry for you—and your groceries. Hang in, we’re thinking of you.

Yes we have a generator that we’re using for our fridge, freezer, & one lamp. Very grateful! It’s our first time “camping” downstairs with the baby. We dragged our mattress downstairs where it’s a little cooler. Memories, sweet memories (we’ll tell the stories later on...”remember that time...”)

I hope you get power sooner rather than later.

I’m sorry you’re without power. Most of my town in NJ (northeast) is too. We are one of the few blocks with power. We just had friends of ours over to feed them dinner and store some of their groceries for them. Hope you get it back soon!

We are fine but a friend in Burlington County, NJ was told to expect power by Friday.

Texas is sending linemen to the northeast! My son will be there by tonight. He and his crew will be working in the morning! I'm sure there are many other linemen coming, also.

We pray for your part of the country. SE Texas is very familiar with hurricanes. I'm sure it will be our turn before the winter gets here.

Yikes! So glad you have a generator though. What's the weather like? Is it ridiculously hot like it is in VA? I hope power is back on sooner than expected!

I am glad you have a generator for the fridge. We were very lucky and only lost it for a very short time. I went for a walk earlier and heard lots of generators in a neighborhood near us. My parents are still out.

I hope it is not much longer and you can just chalk it up to the 2020 memories!
Stay safe!

Thank you all for your kind words.

The weather is hot and humid but manageable. We actually just got our generator in the past year once we had the baby. I’m so grateful that we did that! During Hurricane Sandy we were hit hard. We didn’t have power for 4 days. (Although other parts of NJ had to wait much longer). We survived without a generator though. This too shall pass. #HouseCamping

Stay safe everyone!

On no
I once had no power due to a bad summer storm for almost an entire week. Was during a heatwave, too. It was awful. You have my sympathies. Hope it's a short duration.
