Recording Devices?

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I'm retired from elem teaching and I tutor now.
I need to record selected books for a dyslexic student.
What device is good to use? Any ideas?

I have used cassette tapes with tape recorder but feel like maybe I'm in the "techno dark ages."

Any and all ideas are appreciated

if you have a microphone hooked up to your computer you can use this and scan pictures in as well if it is a story book.

You could also use photostory. This is a free download from microsoft. You can upload pictures from the book you are reading or type in the words you are reading and record your voice into the presentation by speaking into the microphone of the computer. They are very user friendly and work great for this type of thing.

I have used the voice recorder app on my iphone add then hooked it up to my computer. I also have a digital recorder that can be plugged into the computer with the usb port ($30/walmart)
