Leveled Math Groups

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I would really like to start doing leveled math groups this year, similar to how I do leveled reading groups. I saw a 2nd grade teacher do this when I worked as a T.A. and it worked really well. They all basically worked on the same math lesson, but she adapted it for each level and was able to work with small groups. I don't remember how exactly she had it organized, though, because she usually sent me to another room to work with the advanced group. I do remember that the rest of the kids were not just working in centers.

If anyone does this, I would appreciate any information about how you structure it!

Thank you for bringing this up. I've also been thinking about doing Math groups but have been struggling with ways to set it up. I'll definitely check out the Yahoo! group. Thanks Gena!!

I also want to do leveled math groups this year. I wanted to do it last year, but could not put it together. I don't want to have to go to Yahoo.
Maybe someone could start math meeting room right here on proteacher.

How do you join the Yahool group? I like the idea to start our own here, too.
