How to attach to cinder block

I have a dry erase calendar I want to use this year. I tried using the sticky things that come with it to attach to the cinder block wall but it keeps falling down. Ideas?

Hot glue and it does come off when you need it to.

Hot glue works very well for cinder block walls! And it comes off cleanly!

Use hot glue

It works the best if you use a hot/high temperature glue gun as opposed to low temp glue.

Hot Glue?

Does it take the paint off? I have what is either painted brick or painted cinder block and the teacher in the room last year told me nothing sticks. Will hot glue take the white paint off when I take them down? None of the hooks or anything else will work?

Command Hooks

I've used the Command poster strips at home to hang a dry erase board on dry wall. They pulled the paint off when I took it down to repaint. The good news is that I've used them at school and never had a problem. The walls were cinder block.

I've never used hot glue at school, but I've removed some from the walls that was used by a previous teacher. When I removed it, it also took the paint off.

Thanks for the replies. Hot glue isn't strong enough because the calendar is too heavy. I wish it had holes so I could hang it with command hooks. Not sure what to do.

Can you take the command hooks and attach binder clips to them? You made need like 4 or 6 hooks going across, depends on how heavy it is. Just a thought.

Command picture hanging strips

Command has large picture hanging strips that will hold 4 pounds per set. Use more than one set as needed depending on the weight of the board.

Last year I used the large picture hanging strips that Matilda mentioned to hang a large magnetic dry erase board on my classroom wall. It is still hanging there. I haven't tried to remove it.

You need these and a hammer. You can get them at Lowes/Home Depot/etc/
