Full moon, then Easter, progress reports, parent-teacher conferences two evenings this week, and two weeks before Spring break. Lord help me! Have I taught these first graders anything this year? They sure don't act like I have!

A lot of the same over here. My high school students have been off the wall. Senioritis has turned into Freshmanitis, Sophomoritis, and Junioritis.

We just had our break and have been back 2 days. I wonder why we do a break now? I thought it was so we could recharge and come back rejuvenated to finish the year... But at this rate, it isn't worth it. No one is ready for school - they all just want to play.

You'd be surprised to hear and know what you have taught your first graders, this year...

Listening to our conversation today, my granddaughter (a first grader) said to her mother, "Mommy did you know that 'seafood' is a compound word?" As Art Linkletter used to say,
"kids say the darndest things!"

Our first grader shares a lot of what she is learning at school with us!

First grade teachers rock! I still remember mine, Mrs. Pearson.
