Prayers for my school...

Last week a child lost a parent.

The beginning of the weekend we lost a former district teacher (only us old timers will remember her)

I just got a call we lost a student to cancer.

This isn't easy. I wish I could give out hugs tomorrow and watch movies, play in the snow and drink hot chocolate. Unfortunately/Fortunately, students at my grade level won't be impacted. They need structure and the normal routine. I want to just hug them and cry. They don't understand (which is a good thing).

Thank you!

All those losses at once- how overwhelming. I lost a colleague who was still working over christmas break 4 years ago- it was so difficult. And losing students to cancer (or for any reason) is just so tragic.

Sending hugs and prayers that you are able to find peace and comfort. The students will be a good distraction, as always. Praying for your whole school family.

Thatís terrible. Loss is bad anytime, but it seems especially bad around holidays.

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

It was rough, but also filled with love and kindness.

And, I got the most thoughtful "project" from 3 of my formers and it was touching. As rough as our jobs are, we really do make a difference.
