Another tragic death

My son's best friend was killed in a car accident. Another 25 year dead because of stupidity. Why drink and drive? What is so hard about not doing it. He had many people that would have picked him up, but he did not call. The positive is, no one else was hurt in the wreck, but it has left a lot of heart break in its wake.

He was living with my son, DIL and grandbaby. He was a good guy, just made a stupid choice. And it cost him his life.

I have no idea what to say to my son. He is taking it really hard. He never cries on the phone with me. He lost it. Of course I went to him, but the only thing I could do was hug him. My heart breaks for him. I wish I could fix it.

Its something I will never understand, doing anything/under the influence while driving. Your DS is in my prayers.

for the loss of this young man's life. Death is always said but even more so when the person is so young. I will say a prayer for his family and your son.

It is so hard to see a young life senselessly end. My 29 yr old DS has lost six friends in the last several years to accidents, ODs, and suicide. It breaks my heart. Sending hugs!

for your prayers and warm thoughts.

This is heart breaking and I just wish I could take their pain away. The young man, unfortunately did not have any family that he was close to. He had not seen or spoke with his mom in 5 years. I do not believe she is even going to come to his funeral. Dad is here, but not very interested in anything. If I am not mistaken, there was a lot of family dram and abuse. I think that makes it even harder because he was doing so well despite his childhood. He held down a job. Was there if his friends needed him and absolutely adored my grandbaby.

DS said he held things together pretty well until he found the Christmas presents he has bought for the baby. That was when he lost it. DS just tells me this is rough and he does not know what to do with the pain he feels. I do not know what to say to him. I do not know what to do for him. Our family has been so fortunate. We have dealt with very few deaths and those that have happened have been to extended family. My grandparents, who are now great-great-grandparents are still with us! Which I am so thankful for!

It is so true, when our kids hurt, we hurt with them. I will be hugging DS super tight!
