Principal video ideas

Clip to ScrapBook #1

Every morning my prinicpal posts a video for the announcements. He does a great job with this and has tried to include fun learning things as well such as, neighborhood animal habitats, cooking vidoes, hobby videos, favorite family games and books, crafts for Mother's Day....

We have two more weeks of remote learning and he is running out of ideas. Any suggestions? Thank you!

How about a "how things are made" video? Pencils or crayons..

Mystery location

Clip to ScrapBook #4

Our high school principal does announcements from a mystery location in the school each day. Then he has students guess where he is at. He's done them in a janitor's closet (and they have to know the floor, too!), under a staircase (again, they have to know the floor), in corners around the building, in certain classrooms or offices, even the teacher's lounge! Your principal could do that around your school or around your town...parks, landmarks, walking trails, etc.

There could be a guess the teacher trivia. He presents 5 facts about a teacher and they try to guess which teacher it is. Instead of this, he could do some sort of grade level trivia and have questions for grades K-1, 2-3, 4-5, etc. and even a parent/teacher bracket!

What about a race with him and the gym teacher or another teacher who is a runner? Or just him running a certain distance and timing it and then seeing if the kids can beat his score?

What about a newscast? iMovie, wevideo, etc. has newscast backdrops. He could do a newscast with what's new in your school, town, state, or nation. Maybe focusing on the positive news instead of the bad or scary things.

My principal at my old school is reading pictures with a social emotional theme.

Yoga or meditation

some sort of science experiment

On this day in history...

Book talks with books for different age levels (maybe your librarian, lit coach or classroom teachers could help with this).
