Prayers, good thoughts or crossed fingers

please. The lady I take care of is having a pacemaker put in today. Procedure was scheduled for 1:15 with arrival at 12:15. Good, she didn't have be get up so early, BUT longer to worry about it. They called last night and changed it to arrival at 8:45, procedure at 9:45. Doctor is coming from out of town and wants to get in and out before the Hannah comes. It's supposed to take about an hour and they say we should be home by 12:15 so we'll be ahead of the storm too. However, she could have to spend the night. I really hope not.
Doctor said I could be in waiting room and he would come out and talk to me. Hospital said no one can be there. Made arrangements with someone to have a place to stay so I wouldn't have to drive back and forth so much. Hospital called and said I could be there so who knows what's really going to happen?
Thanks for any prayers, etc.

You have my prayers that all goes well with the procedure and for safe weather conditions while you're out driving.

We got there at 8:30, didn't take her back until after 11:00 and we didn't leave until 4:45. It's been a rather brutal day but it's over. The procedure was successful. Of course it's on the left and she's left handed. No lifting, no hand raising, etc. She pulls herself up with both hands grabbing the table to stand up and she can't do that. It's going to be a fun couple of weeks. On well, at least her heart will be better and it's over.

Thanks again for your help.

Good luck and take care of yourself, too, giver. Caring for others is hard work.

Praying for her. And you! My mom got a pacemaker two months ago. She got it on her right side (she had a mastectomy on the left and for some reason, that made the right side a better choice) and it was tough keeping that right arm down! But, she healed up nicely. Three weeks after that, she got an ablation procedure. The combination of these two procedures left her feeling more energetic. Hooray.
