So this is #firstworldproblems
#shoppingfail

I use Instacart frequently during the pandemic. I ordered 2 pounds of bananas & received only 2 literal bananas. The I ordered 1 tomato on the vine (meaning the actual bunch on the vine which usually has 4-6 tomatoes) I only received one.tomato 🤦🏻

Plus I forgot to get green bell peppers. Which I need to make homemade sofrito. Iím hoping my afternoon gets better

Iíve never used instacart but on my Kroger curbside orders, thereís a spot to leave a comment and I always specify on produce whether I want 3 items or 3 pounds. Iíve had some similar mixups and it makes me laugh. Why would someone think I want only one tiny jalapeŮo that costs .03 cents as opposed to one pound??

(not instacart, though) Then the next time I ordered six bananas and got six pounds! Yikes.

On the flip side, I ordered 1 jalapeno for a dip I was making and they gave me 1 lb. I kept wondering who would order a whole pound of jalapenos.

I donít shop for Instacart, but but I do shop for Shipt. The setup is very similar for the shopper on both platforms. The vegetables on the shoppers side are confusing. Sometimes a customer will put number of items, but it shows the shopper the product in pounds. I always ask my customers while Iím shopping.

I too might only order 1 or 2 bananas, since I live by myself. I do understand what you are saying though. When I do a delivery I have to have a minimum of the # of fruits/vegetables, so sometimes I end up with more than I could eat. Mom & Dad end up with a surprise treat.
