Clip to ScrapBook #1

I'm working on a library program entitled "Readers Can Go Anywhere". I need suggestions for picture books that have settings in different states or countries. My audience will be K-4th. Thank you.

A Pet For Mrs. Arbuckle is a favorite with a geographical theme.

How about the Felix books?
We use them when teaching personal letter writing.

USA Travel stories

Clip to ScrapBook #7

Stringbean's Trip to the Shining Sea is a great story about a boy who travels across the USA sending postcards back home to the rest of his family.

There is another I can not remember as well, but I think it might work. It is call Apples to Oregon. it is set in the past and they travel from Iowa to Oregon I believe.

Try "My Great Aunt Arizona" that I believe is based in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.

"Jam & Jelly by Holly & Nellie" that is based in northern Michigan.
