I have a long wall that is made from cinder blocks that I'd like to make into different bulletin boards this year. Any suggestions what to put up that won't damage paint and will stay up all year long? I thought about the obvious, sheets of cork, but am not sure how I'd get them to stay up.

I hotglue paper to the cinderblock in my classroom and it comes off without damaging the paint at the end of the year. Stays up perfectly too.

Just recently I heard about the idea of using liquid starch to attach fabric to walls. I thought it was brilliant. You soak the fabric in the starch, stretch it across the wall, using a paint brush roller to smooth the bubbles, and let dry. Evidently, it stays up! I've never tried it myself. Hot glue has worked well for me in the past, and usually does not damage walls, unless you pull it off too carelessly, like I've done in the past. Ooops. I'm trying Stikki Wax this year. It was recommended by the Lakeshore people. We'll see if it actually sticks.

huge paper football field on my cinder block wall. I ended up using velcro - it works well. I have no idea what it will do to the walls, but I cleared it through our janitor before I did it and she said it would be fine. The only other thing I found that works is strapping tape.

I have a long blackboard that I made into three bulletin boards. I bought foam board at Dollar Tree, covered it with fabric and hot glued it to the blackboard. It stayed up all year and looks great! No one would ever know there was a blackboard behind it. I could staple and tack into the foam board, and I didn't have any trouble with the Dollar Tree foam board quality. i think someone on Proteacher suggested it last year, and it definitely worked.

I hot glued it to the wall and stayed up all year. I am thinking about trying those command strips I've seen ads for on TV. I used the hooks for years, and they've never left any damage so I hope the strips work just as well.

I put 12 X 12 cork squares on mine last year. Works well. Use hot glue.
