While at the dollar store last summer I picked up a few sets of those Grow Capsules that you place in water and they are supposed to swell into animal shapes. I forgot I had them, but now have found them at a great time. I thought we could use them for a theme on pets - the skill being to distinguish between critters that are appropriate for pets and those that are not. So I thought I would try one first and have had the capsule in water all day. Doesn't look like much. How long do these things take? I thought an hour or two, but hmmm, not happening.

If you use really warm water, it should happen quickly. Water at room temperature takes several hours!
