Stickers on Walls

Clip to ScrapBook #1

I have some animal stickers, like the ones that people use to decorate nurseries. I tried them on my walls last year, but they kept falling off. I have the old cinder block type walls that have been freshly painted. I used stickie clips, fun tak, and box tape to hang some things, but it was hit or miss on it staying. Does anyone have suggestions for keeping things on these walls?

I had cinder blocks last year as well. I used the sticky tac and those heavy duty hooks with the glue on the back. Can't think of the brand name right now! Umm....Scotch! They have various sizes, and they worked very well for me. I had a huge giraffe hanging up all year!

Velcro! I used it this past year and everything stayed up. I was even able to peel it off easily at the end of the year so that the walls could be painted.

Cece, I tried some hooks and they stayed longer than anything else, but fell off after a few days. I'm not sure if I used the Scotch brand or not, but it's worth a try! I'm wondering if it's the type of paint that they used because I didn't have this much trouble before they painted. Kcougar, I'll try the velcro. That sounds like a great idea!

Packing tape or hot glue

My mentor teacher used to use hot glue to put things up on painted cinder block

I use packing tape for everything in my class because we have painted brick. I find that it works pretty well, as long as the paint isn't too smooth.

Try heavy duty packing tape, it might work better than the thin versions.

Try Command strips. I have a friend who used them to stick decorations to her unpainted brick walls.
