Hello!

So a principal recommended me for a position about two weeks ago and I'm about to get my classroom set-up. The board meeting is on Tuesday and I'm wondering what do I need to wear and what to expect?

Did the principal tell you that you need to come to the meeting?

Around here, elections to teaching positions and other personnel matters are done in closed session and then announced in open session. No need to actually be present.

Maybe it is done differently in other places? I live in NH.

First - Congrats!! How exciting for you!
In my district, new hires don't go to the board meeting when they are approved for hire. (NJ) The Super just recommends them and the board usually just approves them.
If you need to be there I would certainly wear something more conservative. Dress for the job

I agree, check and see if you need to attend. If you do, conservative is best. But teachers never go when they are being approved by the board in my district.

Congratulations on your new job!!!

If you are recommended and the principal wants you to come to the school, is it 99% guaranteed that you have the job?
