How is an ASD classroom run?

I know this will depend on area and the school, but typically how is an ASD classroom run? I have been an ES/LSup teacher for 2 years. ES and LSup is my preference, but I know some school districts in the area are so broke that they are able to not hire for LS, but they must hire for ES, ASD, Life Skills, MDS, etc. Many positions are posted for ASD. In terms of LSup and ES positions so far 2 I did not get and 2 were second round interviews cancelled because the district was no longer seeking to hire for the positions.
I have two interviews this week. One is definitely for an ASD position and the other I suspect is as well though it was just labeled "SPED Teacher." If I were to get the ASD position I feel that I would take it as I need a job, but I would be nervous about the classroom set up and management. Any insight into how a well run classroom would look like at the middle school/high school level?
