About a year ago I went through a spate of losing earrings or just one earring, which is practically the same. Not sure if the universe was trying to tell me something. Santa will bring me a lovely pair from Three Pines and another that might be silver and turquoise.
I just realized with this post that I'm probably getting nothing this year. I told my sister and brother that we should just do the kids this year so I won't get anything. I don't really need anything, so that's ok. Maybe I'll buy myself something special.
fancy shower gel
good slippers
a starter chicken coop
a gift certificate for Home Depot
a starter green house
5 Cinnamon Queen chickens
fun colors of nailpolish
to have my Nan's cast iron pieces properly cleaned & seasoned
a good knife sharpener
for DH to finally get the new lino down in the kitchen (sick of the 70's yellow brick road!)
and I will be happy with anything! I just want to be home with Mom.
We've decided that none of us need anything (kids are 19 and 23), so we are going to spend 2 nights at our favorite beach resort-Christmas Eve and Christmas night.
For a change, I didn't have any trouble coming up with a list this year!
A vacuum (going to be our big gift from my parents)
A utensil crock
Craft supplies (Project Life scrapbooking)
A small offset spatula
Stasher bags
A new pair of sneakers or Toms shoes
New sheets
A serving platter
A new laundry hamper
A knife rack
Books (I really want Alex Trebek's memoir)
A ball cap (I know DH bought me and DD matching ones)
I do not expect to get all of it, but I actually had ideas this year! I also have a birthday in November so I might get a few things then.
I keep a running list of ideas for my family and myself.
For me:
* good knife sharpener
* indoor herb garden planter
* spoon rest from west elm
* grips scrapper chopper
* meat shredders
**pasta bowl
I think there’s a food theme.
* a new pair of UGGS slippers. I’ve had mine for about three years and love them.
I just moved from full time Rving to a house again. My list definitely has a theme.
1. Used rocking chairs for my firing porch that I could repaint- my son and daughter-in-law bought me these yesterday.
2. Used sewing machine
3. Mixing bowls with lids
4. White Corelle dishes
5. Crock pot
6. Glassware
My husband and I just bought a new Jeep - that’s our Christmas present to each other.
I asked for a lamp to go over my headboard for reading, a car cover for the back seat of my new SUV for the dog, and a 13 X 9 pan by Lock and Lock that has a lid to cover it that snaps on.
We are cleaning out in preparation of severely downsizing. I do not want anything else coming in to the house. What I would love- but know that it won't happen, would be for either one of our daughters to be home, or for us to go to them, which also can't be done at this time.
Soda stream for sparkling water
Possibly an air fryer
A new sports bra
Pocketed leggings
Long pullover for walking
Gloves.
My DH will tell me I don’t want or need at least 1/2 of my list. I asked for a new slow cooker for 3 years in a row. If I take the time to write it down, I want it.
I ordered a new kindle and 3 new small weaving looms. My family is not the best at buying for me. I always get a few things for myself while I’m shopping for others
My list includes an artisan Kitchen Aide Mixer in my favorite popping color...yellow
My birthday is very close to Christmas Day and my request is a rotary paper cutter
