Update: GFs mom

He brought her home (to her assisted living apartment) today. She was much more oriented and lucid as soon as she got home. She needs to take antibiotics every few hours for the next 3 days, so he will stay to make sure she gets her meds on time and to be sure she is functioning ok. She will have some home care, so he will hopefully be able to come home in a few days.

That sounds like good news. I know UTIs in elderly can really mess them up. Hopefully she will respond quickly to the antibiotics and heal.

I'm glad to hear this. So emotionally tough when our loved ones are in this situation. Hopefully, they also have caregivers that can administer meds if she needs it past those 3 days and her memory is not what it used to be.
