A great place to look is edhelpher.com. I have used them many times for reading and math both. They have put the books into leveled list by grades and have vocabulary, comprehension, and written questions ready to go. It will also allow you to put a lower reader in another book if you want to do book groups instead of a whole group book. Good Luck next year.

The 4th grade students I work with are really into the Judy Blume books, Goosebumps, and Diary of a Wimpy kid. At the beginning of the year provide your students with a reading survey to get a feel for what they are all interested in.

My Secret Bully (read on first day), The Fabled Fourth Graders of Aesop Elementary School, Dear Mr. Henshaw, There's a Boy in the Girl's Bathroom, and Charlotte's Web. Just for fun I'll read any of the Humphry books. The Fabled Fourth Graders is hilarious, and there is a Reader's Theatre to go with it.

I'm obsessed with reading my class Roald Dahl, at the minute I'm reading them The BFG, but they really loved listening to Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator, which is the sequel to Charlie and the Choc Factory. Other books I've read to them are Holes and How to train your dragon (which I think is better than the movie).
In reading groups my kids liked reading Harry's Mad by Dick King Smith.

Hope that is some help to you

My kids are really into Rick Riordann and the Percy Jackson series. They love graphic novels as well. I have found Percy Jackson and a Goosebumps in graphic novels.
