My kindergartners do all of their lessons on Seesaw. We have not used text boxes yet but I always make a video demonstrating what to do when they have to learn a new Seesaw skill.

How do you make a video?

I could do it on Google Meets and share my screen and record it?

Is there a way to do it in SeeSaw directly?

I record in Zoom and screenshare. Meet would work the same way. I upload all of my videos to YouTube and share a link through Viewpure.

You can record in Seesaw but I don't think you can screenshare while recording within Seesaw.

I don't really have videos to share because when I show them what to do it's not a separate Seesaw how-to video. I record full lessons and then have them respond in Seesaw in some way so my demonstration is embedded within my lesson.

When I create my Seesaw activities I put a link to my lesson video in the directions.

This is a pretty good video explaining how to use the label tool.

You can link this video into a seesaw assignment and then have the students create text boxes to label something. This is what our virtual K teacher used.

I often add the text boxes to the activity for my students since they have trouble with them.
