Each 1st grade class must do a project to present at the science fair. Any great ideas? It must relate to our curriculum so it can go along with solids and liquids, balance and motion, living organisms (mainly insects), or rocks and minerals.

love when we make oobleck. It is pretty easy and to be honest-amazing! It changes from liquid to solid and back again. It is also perfect for this time of year. Read the book and create!

I made oobleck with the kids, we also made no cook Kool-Aid playdough and Flubber.
The play dough was made with 2 cups flour, 1 cup salt, a packet of kool-aid, and 1 cup hot water. Mix it all together, it made enough for nine students.

one year we did the life cycle of butterflies and I bought the net and we had real live butterflies in our classroom! I think that this year we are going to do Plants, our fair is not until May!
