Gift Ideas for Adult Children

I typically send a check to my son/DIL in CA. However, this year, I'd like to get them little somethings that I can wrap and they can put under the tree that they can open on Christmas Day. I was talking to my son today and he said he loves the joy of watching his own 2 children open presents, but that at times, he misses getting actual presents himself. So...since I love to shop and give gifts, I thought this year, I'd do send some gifts for them to open.

Don't have to be anything big...just things they can open and possibly use. We've already given them tickets and such to all of the things near them...(zoo, etc.). I'm more looking for things for THEM, not the family/children.

He is an FBI agent. She is a SAHM. They love wine and beer. They both love to cook. Eat healthy. They both love coffee (would LOVE some suggestions on GOOD coffee!!!) They have 2 very active boys. They are both wonderful parents! They live in CA, so...no gloves, hats, etc....

TIA!!

Or maybe I could just do stockings for them. At least those are easy...

Fun Jammie’s are always something I don’t buy for myself.

I have seen some nice longer sweaters cardigan style this year. Even in California sweaters are good. Fun colors.

New Mexico pinyon coffee.

How about a fun t shirt that they might get a smile at?

I got this for my DD who cooks a lot. She loves watching growth and using the herbs in her cooking.

Thank you for your ideas! I jotted them all down! Would be hilarious if I could get a family set of matching PJs. They would get a kick out of that!

Love the coffee suggestion and the herb garden!! Definitely funny socks...

Thank you all for replying! Hope I get more ideas, just so I have some ideas to spare. I knew I could count on PT!

PS: I see I made quite a few errors in my original post. Was multi-tasking at the time...too tired to go back and fix them.

I think including a stocking is a lovely idea. Perhaps candy from their childhood? A comic book for your son? Aloe infused slipper socks for DIL? Nice pens for her. A small bag of nuts or dried fruit?

HTH,
Dorothy

I do not buy for many people for Christmas but I like looking at yearly gift guides.

Ideas for crafty gifts: https://kellehampton.com/2021/11/gif...ds-and-adults/

Gifts for Women: https://kellehampton.com/2021/10/best-gifts-for-women/

This one has lists for kids and adults: https://www.younghouselove.com/holid...t-guides-2021/

I also love my Amazon Echo and my corresponding Alexa plugs.

Also, I use my Revlon blow dry brush almost every day and it’s become one of my favorites: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LSUQSB0...3MZKXSEVSFGJ8H

When we were dating my husband once did gifts with little notes on them. It was so sweet! Something like..on coffee…”to someone nice to wake up to” and wine…” to someone who makes my spirits soar”. I’m sure there was chocolate also. That is one of my most favorite gifts I ever received.

Yours could be maybe spices, beer, candy, kitchen things.

Another time I gave my sister special salt, socks, something else that started with an s. I didn’t even realize it but she was like…it was an s year!

Have fun. I love giving special gifts.

I am giving my nieces the swedish dish clothes along with a gc to Crimson & Clove. Because I send them spices through-out the year I thought I gc for them to buy what they need. Your DS & DDIL would probably like some of the gift bundles they have. I love looking at all the spices they have.

I also love The Spice and Tea Exchange. They have locations in a few places that I’ve vacationed in and I always replenish specific spices.
