CoVid for Thanksgiving
Old 11-24-2021, 03:03 PM

DH has a horrible cough and now a positive CoVid test. I have a moderate cough, and although my test was negative it may, in fact be positive per the tech.
So, we officially have CoVid for Thanksgiving. Prayers for DH, who had heart surgery last year are appreciated.

Dorothy

I hope you have an easy case of COVID. Is your DH getting some of the early treatment meds? I hear they make a big difference.

I spent hours looking for a place for DH to get the monoclonal antibodies treatment. 1 hospital, about an hour away. You go thru the ER.
His PCP is at the VA. DH and I both spoke to nurses there. Because we are fully vaccinated they think the risk of being at the hospital outweighs the benefit of the treatment. If his symotoms worsen over the holiday there is a 24/7 crisis number I can call. Neither of us have our boosters. I just became eligible and he was "waiting to see."
I loved when the nurse asked me "waiting to see what?"
So tge short answer is no.

Thank you all,
Dorothy

I'm right there with you! But at least you can quarantine together. I'm stuck in my bedroom isolating so the rest of the family doesn't get it. Really stinks!
