I heard my first song today at Wal-Mart. It was "I'll Be Home for Christmas".

'Tis the season.

We had our first frost last night and I asked DH if it was too early to start listening to Christmas music.

I like one holiday at a time, although like many I am shopping extra early this year. No holiday music or decorations around here yet.

Trojan, I. too, take note each year when I hear the first "Christmas song" of the season. For me, it was last week. The song was 'Rockin' around the Christmas Tree' but I can't recall which store I was in. I remember thinking "We haven't even finished with Halloween or even gotten close to Thanksgiving, yet."

Iím someone who really enjoys the ďseasonsĒ. I donít like feeling rushed; ie Christmas before Thanksgiving. However, my almost 3 yo DS loves Christmas and is already listening to some Christmas music. Iím also planning my shopping, food, gifts etc earlier this year as well.
That all being said, I love Christmas time. Itís my favorite time of the year.

Itís already ďbeginning to feel a lot like ChristmasĒ in my house

Christmas decorations are going up on buildings in my little town. They have Dickens on Main festivities in tge shopping district after Thanksgiving. I love seeing all the lights and greenery throughout town. The city and businesses go all out.

I was listening to a report on the radio that this earlier decorating for Christmas and listening to Christmas music may be a positive mood boost for many as our traditions and celebrations are meaningful to us and the pandemic has been stressful. I think there may be something to that. This year, I plan to decorate for Christmas right after Thanksgiving. I never have before.

I haven't heard any, yet, but probably will today when I'm out and about. I do think it's a tad too early, but I get why...especially stores...who are all about the bottom line.

I have seen Christmas lights on homes, already. To me, it is way to early for it, but (again), I can see why. If it brings someone joy, why not?

I, too, may decorate the day after Thanksgiving this year.

Nothing yet, but then again, I literally haven't been out at stores, etc. all week. Too busy with stuff.

I may have listened to Christmas music on Sirius radio yesterday after picking up a peppermint hot chocolate from Starbucks.

Yes, we heard Christmas music in Dollar General yesterday. I'm not quite ready for it. Like others, I like one holiday at a time. But also like others, I've been Christmas shopping online already. It's a good thing since my order yesterday is going to take 3 weeks to come in!

I was in Carmel, CA earlier last week. We walked into a beautiful, fancy body care store. The owner was on hold on speaker phone and it was Christmas music. We all grimaced.

Well, as a music teacher, I've been listening to Christmas music for six weeks already. I don't start rehearsing it that soon, but I always feel that I need to have music for a holiday concert selected no later than than early October with rehearsals to start by mid October. It's the worst thing about being a music teacher; by the time we get to Christmas, I've really had enough.
