It's AIR testing time ! Our 6th graders said the other day they thought the ELA test this year was "easy". That usually worries me

Our 4th graders test next week. How's everyone feeling?

It's review crunch time and many of my students seem to have checked out. I'm getting worried about their attitude.

I love spring, but hate testing season. We go in 2 weeks. We've had a lot of snow days that have put us 2 weeks behind in math curriculum. We are doing some math released items every morning before the math lesson. We are reviewing ELA in the afternoon. We have a writing assessment at our grade. The type of writing is assigned randomly. We are reviewing all 3 and trying to add in poetry as well.

I love spring, but hate testing season.

I don't do anything different.

I don't review, or practice test, or teach to the test. They just do it.
I have very strong feelings about standardized testing.
